24th National Youth Parliament Competition 2023 Winners Announced by Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs

National Youth Parliament Competition: the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has been conducting Youth Parliament Competitions in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. The National Youth Parliament Competition 2023 is also important for UPSC Prelims Exam 2023 and UPSC Mains Exam (GS Paper 2- Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International Relations).

Recently, the 24th National Youth Parliament Competition for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas held its Prize Distribution Function at the Parliament House Complex in New Delhi.

National Youth Parliament Competition 2022-23 Winner

The Union Minister of State for Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Culture Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal presided over the function.

  • He distributed the prizes to 24th National Parliament Competition winning students and Vidyalayas for their meritorious performance in the Competition.
  • The students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nadia, West Bengal (Patna Region) stood first in the 24th National Youth Parliament Competition, 2022-23 for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.
  • The Running Parliamentary Shield and Trophy for standing first in the Competition will be awarded to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nadia, West Bengal (Patna Region).
  • Apart from JNV ,Nadia,West Bengal , the following 7 regional winning Vidyalayas also received prizes :
    1. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Puri, Odisha (Bhopal Region)
    2. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Chandrapur, Maharashtra (Pune Region)
    3. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mandya, Karnataka (Hyderabad Region)
    4. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir (Chandigarh Region)
    5. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, East Khasi Hills-I, Meghalaya (Shillong Region)
    6. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kurukshetra, Haryana (Jaipur Region)
    7. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow Region)

Youth Parliament Competition Details

For 26 years, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has been conducting Youth Parliament Competitions in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. The 24th edition of the National Youth Parliament Competition for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas took place during 2022-23, involving 80 Vidyalayas across 8 regions of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti throughout India as part of the program.

National Youth Parliament Scheme 2023

The 3rd National Youth Parliament Scheme (NYPS) has been launched from 1st April 2023. Institutions can register on the NYPS Portal up to 30th September 2023 for organizing youth parliament sittings in their respective institutions. Important details of Youth Parliament Competition Scheme for young generation of India are discussed below-
