Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog: The Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog is a high-level meeting where key stakeholders, including the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers of States and Union Territories, and other relevant officials, come together to discuss and deliberate on important policy issues, development plans, and strategies for the nation’s progress. Recently, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi chaired the 8th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog. He highlighted the crucial role of NITI Aayog in assisting states to formulate their strategies for the next 25 years and align them with the National Development Agenda.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of a unified approach by the Centre, States, and Union Territories, working together as Team India, to fulfill the dreams and aspirations of the people for a developed India by 2047.
The 8th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog was organized at the newly constructed Convention Centre in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Given its position as the world’s fifth-largest economy and most populous nation, India has reached a pivotal stage in its economic development journey, presenting an opportunity for accelerated growth in the next 25 years.
