The initial Cabinet Ministers played a pivotal role in shaping the newly formed republic. Some prominent figures included Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who served as India’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs and played a crucial role in the integration of princely states into the Indian Union.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, served as the first Law Minister. Other notable figures included Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who was the Minister of Education, and Maulana Shaukat Ali, who held the portfolio of Railways and Transport.
