APSC Exam Date 2024

The APSC Mains Exam is scheduled to be held from 26 to 28 July 2024 at various exam centres across Assam state.  The APSC CCE Mains Exam Date 2024 has been released by the Assam Public Service Commission on the official website of APSC. Assam PSC has released the online application dates along with the official notification. The Commission will conduct the APSC CCE Mains Exam on the following date mentioned in the table below.

APSC Vacancy 2024

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released 235 vacancies for various posts in the Combined Competitive Examination CCE). For the unreserved category candidates, Assam PSC has released 107 vacancies, and the rest of the vacancies are distributed amongst reserved category candidates such as SC/ST/PwD/OBC/etc. Check the post-wise vacancies in the table below.

Steps to Apply Online for APSC Notification 2024?

Prospective candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to apply for the APSC CCE Exam through the official Assam Public Service Commission portal. The application process involves the following steps:

• Step-1. Visit the official website of the APSC CCE at www.apsc.nic.in.
• Step-2. Scroll down and navigate to the “Important Web-Links” section.
• Step-3. Click on the link for the Online Application Form.
• Step-4. A new webpage will open where you can input your personal and educational details as requested.
• Step-5. Upload your passport-sized photograph, signature, and any other required documents.
• Step-6. Complete the payment of the examination fee based on your category, and finally, click on the submit button.
• Step-7. Ensure to take a printout of the submitted application form for your records.

APSC Application Fee 2024

General/EWS category Candidates are required to pay ₹297.20 for the application process, while those in the SC/ST and OBC/MOBC categories will be charged ₹197.20. Candidates belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL), Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), and Women Candidates will have an application fee of ₹47.20. APSC Eligibility Criteria 2024

The APSC CCE eligibility criteria 2024 encompass various aspects such as educational qualifications, age limits, etc., which are elaborated upon in the following sections.

Age Limit 2024: According to the APSC Notification 2024, candidates must meet the following age criteria to be eligible for the APSC CCE Exam 2024-

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 38 years

Education Qualification: To be eligible for APSC CCE, candidates must possess a degree from a recognized Institution/University. Additionally, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:

• Proficiency in speaking Assamese, the official language, or any of the associate official languages of the State, or any tribal language of the State.
• Registration in a District Employment Office of Assam.
• Original inhabitancy of Assam is a mandatory requirement for candidates applying for APSC CCE.

APSC Selection Process 2024

The APSC exam is conducted in 3 stages to select candidates for positions. The APSC 2024 notification details the selection process, but candidates can find a quick summary below.

1. Preliminary Exam: The Prelims Exam consists of two papers and it is qualifying in nature which means that the marks obtained in the Prelims Exam will not be added to the final merit list. The questions in the exam shall be MCQ based and there is a negative marking of 1/4th mark for each wrong answer.
2. Mains Exam: The 2nd stage is the Mains Exam. Those who qualify for the Prelims exam will be called for the Mains Exam. The Mains Exam consists of 6 papers of 250 marks each. The exam is a conventional essay type/objective type in nature. Those who qualify shall appear for the Interview/Personality Test.
3. Interview: Candidates who manage to secure good marks in the Mains Exam, will appear for an Interview in a ratio of 1:3 against the advertised vacancies.

APSC Salary 2024

The Assam PCS Salary varies across different posts, each with its respective pay scale and other allowances. Positions such as Assam Civil Service (Jr. Grade), Assam Police Service (Jr. Grade), Superintendent of Taxes, Superintendent of Excise, Assam Finance Service (Jr. Grade II), Block Development Officer, Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, and more, fall under the Pay Band 4 (PB-4) with a pay scale ranging from ₹30,000 to ₹1,10,000 along with a Grade Pay of ₹13,300.

On the other hand, positions like Inspector of Taxes, Inspector of Labour, Assistant Employment Officer, Sub Registrar, Assistant Accounts Officer (Assam Accounts Service), and Inspecting Auditor in Elementary Education are categorized under Pay Band 3 (PB-3), with a pay scale ranging from ₹22,000 to ₹97,000 and a Grade Pay of ₹9,400.
