Eligibility Criteria For APSC CCE 2025-26
To apply for these civil service posts, every candidate must know the criteria details i.e. educational qualifications and age limit. Without meet criteira, the application form will be rejected at any level during the application process.
Educational Qualification
- Degree: You must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognised University or an equivalent institution.
- Final Year Students: Candidates awaiting final results can apply; they have to provide their final degree/marksheet at the time of the Main Examination document verification.
- Language & Domicile: You must be an original inhabitant of Assam and should be proficient in Assamese or any other official language of the state.
Age limit
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and no older than 38 years as of January 1, 2026. However, the government provides the following upper age limit extensions for specific categories:
- SC / ST (P) / ST (H): Up to 43 years (5-year relaxation).
- OBC / MOBC: Up to 41 years (3-year relaxation).
- PwBD: Up to 48 years (10-year relaxation).

What is the Selection Process?
The selection process for the APSC CCE 2025-26 is organised to evaluate a candidate’s intellectual ability, depth of knowledge, and personality traits. Only those who clear the qualifying marks in each successive stage are shortlisted for the final merit list.
