RBI Assistant Age Limit

As per the RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2026, candidates must be born between 02 February 1998 and 01 February 2006 (both inclusive) to be eligible. The age limit is calculated as of 01 February 2026.

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 28 years

RBI Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or its equivalent qualification. Additionally, Final-year students cannot apply unless their final result is declared before the application date. For General Candidates

• A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
• Minimum 50% marks in aggregate
• Knowledge of word processing on a computer

For SC/ST/PwBD Candidates

• A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
• Pass class is sufficient (no 50% requirement)

For Ex-Servicemen

• Be a graduate from a recognized university, or
• Have passed Matriculation (10th) and completed at least 15 years of defence service

• The percentage is calculated from all semesters/years combined
• 49.99% is treated as less than 50%
• If CGPA/OGPA is given, RBI converts it to a percentage using its own conversion table
• If CGPA is out of any scale other than 10, it is first normalized to 10

RBI Nationality and Other Criteria

• A Citizen of India, or
• A Subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
• A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 to settle permanently, or
• A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar (Burma), or East African countries like Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam to permanently settle in India
