UPPSC Prelims Exam 2024 Latest Update

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) postponed two exams, and at that time, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mentioned that the exams would be conducted within six months. Due to this, it is anticipated that the UPPCS prelims exam might be held in July. However, the Commission has not yet issued an official notice regarding the exam date. Candidates should wait for the conclusion of the Lok Sabha elections, as the Commission is expected to announce the exam date on its official website once the elections are over.

Marking Scheme and Exam Pattern

The UPPSC PCS 2024 preliminary exam will include two papers: General Studies Paper 1 and Paper 2. The total marks for the exam are 200, and it will be conducted offline over a duration of two hours. Both papers will feature multiple-choice questions. Paper 1, consisting of approximately 100 to 150 questions, will contribute to the merit ranking. Paper 2 is a qualifying paper, requiring candidates to achieve at least 33% to pass. Additionally, there will be a 0.33% penalty for each incorrect answer.

UPPCS Admit Card Update

The admit card for the exam is typically issued by the Commission 15 days before the exam date. If the exam is scheduled for the third week of July, the admit card is expected to be released in the first week of July. Candidates will be able to download it from the official website.
