Recently, the President attended the concluding ceremony of the North East Festival 2022.
The North East festival 2022 also saw discussion and deliberation sessions meant to enhance the development of the North-Eastern region.

About: North East Festival 2022 a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, is being celebrated across all the eight NE states from 28th April 2022 – 4th May 2022.
- North East Festival is a festival that celebrates the beautiful diversity and integrity of the northeast.
- North East Festival has become global, inclusive, and the most colorful location to celebrate in the heart of the country.
Organizing Ministry: North East Festival 2022 was sponsored by the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region (DoNER).
Significance:
- North East Festival 2022 will help give further momentum to growth and development in the North-Eastern Region.
- North East Festival 2022 will help in highlighting the diversity and development potential of the North East Region.
- With activities ranging from football, badminton, archery, and boxing, the events aimed to explore the sports love and potential of the youth in the NE states.
