The BPSC selection process is held in three stages: Prelims, Mains & Interview and candidates have to qualify for each stage. Every year lakhs of aspirants appear for the BPSC Combined Competitive Exam with the aim to get recruited for these posts.
BPSC Cut-off Trend Analysis
If you see the cut off closely, you will realise that the UR cutoff of BPSC Prelims has mostly been 97, with BPSC prelims 2020 being the exception. The BPSC prelims cutoff rose to 108 due to number of reasons: Students found many repetitive questions in the BPSC Prelims question paper 2020. Also, number of easy questions were increased in 2020, and number of controversial questions were less. Nevertheless, you cannot ignore the tough competition, which is increasing continuously.
So, going by the trend, a candidate should aspire for more than 110. It is highly unlikely that the BPSC cutoff for prelims exam will breach the 110 marks. However, you should also be assured that the BPSC cut off will less likely be less than 95 marks, even in case of tough question paper.
