Bihar PCS J Exam 2023 Syllabus

According to the Bihar PCS J Exam 2023, there are three stages in the Bihar PCS J Exam 2023:

Bihar PCS J Exam 2023 Prelims Exam Syllabus

It consists of two papers:

Paper 1: General knowledge – General Knowledge including Current Affairs and Elementary General Science

Paper 2: Law

• Law of Evidence & Procedure
• Constitutional and Administrative Law of India
• Hindu Law & Muhammadan Law
• Law of Transfer of Property, Principles of Equity, Law of Trusts and Specific Relief Act
• Law of Contracts & Torts
• Commercial Law

General knowledge is conducted for 100 marks, and law paper is conducted for 150 marks.

To be selected for the mains, you must score 45% marks (general category) and 40% (reserved category) in the prelims exam.

There are five compulsory papers, of which Hindi & English are of qualifying nature.

Bihar PCS J Exam 2023 Viva-Voce/Interview

The personal interview is of 100 marks. Final merit list is prepared by adding the marks obtained by a candidate in the mains exam (out of 900 marks) and the interview (out of 120 marks). A candidate must secure at least 35% marks in the interview to qualify for the final merit list.

Eligibility Criteria for Bihar PCS J Exam 2023

• Hold an LLB degree from a recognized University in India.
• Enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocates Act 1961 with membership in the state Bar Council.
• Minimum age should be 21 years, and the maximum age limit for the judge exam is 35.
• You must be a citizen of India.
• You must be of good character and have a clean record.
• The upper age limit for women and physically disabled persons is extended to 40 years.

बिहार पीसीएस जे परीक्षा 2023 मौखिक परीक्षा/साक्षात्कार

व्यक्तिगत साक्षात्कार 100 अंकों का होता है। मुख्य परीक्षा (900 अंकों में से) और साक्षात्कार (120 अंकों में से) में उम्मीदवार द्वारा प्राप्त अंकों को जोड़कर अंतिम योग्यता सूची तैयार की जाती है। अंतिम योग्यता सूची के लिए अर्हता प्राप्त करने के लिए एक उम्मीदवार को साक्षात्कार में कम से कम 35% अंक प्राप्त करने चाहिए।
