UGC NET Syllabus 2021: National Testing Agency (NTA) had released the UGC NET syllabus along with the UGC NET notification for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). UGC NET December 2020 and June 2021 cycles Examination will be going to held from 06 Oct to 8 Oct 2021 and 17 Oct to 19 Oct 2021 at various examination centers all over India by NTA. UGC-NET Examination comprises two papers – Paper I (50 Questions & 100 marks) and Paper-II (100 Questions & 200 marks), conducted in the same session, without any break. Paper I is common to all examinees, and applicants can select Paper-II for their subject specialization. UGC NET Syllabus 2021 & Exam Pattern

UGC NET 2021 Exam is conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test). The Computer Based Test (CBT) will consist of two papers i.e. Paper-I & Paper-II. There will be no break between Paper-I and Paper-II. Both the papers will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions.

Important Points To Be Remember

  • The questions in Paper I intend to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test the reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the candidate.
  • For each correct response, the candidate will get 2 marks.
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect response
  • Paper-II is 100 marks based on the subject selected by the candidate

  • Teaching: Concept, Objectives, Levels of teaching (Memory, Understanding, and Reflective), Characteristics, and basic requirements.
  • Learner’s characteristics: Characteristics of adolescent and adult learners (Academic, Social, Emotional and Cognitive), Individual differences.
  • Factors affecting teaching related to Teacher, Learner, Support material, Instructional facilities, Learning environment, and Institution.
  • Methods of teaching in Institutions of higher learning: Teacher-centered vs. Learner-centered methods; offline vs. Online methods (Swayam, Swayamprabha, MOOCs, etc.).
  • Teaching Support System: Traditional, Modern, and ICT-based.
  • Evaluation Systems: Elements and Types of evaluation, Evaluation in Choice Based Credit System in Higher education, Computer-based testing, Innovations in evaluation systems.
