What is APTET 2023?

The full form of APTET is Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. The APTET is conducted by the Commissioner of School Education and Andhra Pradesh (CSEAP) to test the eligibility of the candidates who wish to become teachers in schools run by the Andhra Pradesh Government. APTET is a State-Level eligibility test and candidates who qualify for the APTET 2023 will become eligible to apply for the government teaching jobs in Andhra Pradesh.

APTET 2023 Exam Eligibility Criteria

The candidates go through the APTET Eligibility Criteria 2023 to ensure they are eligible for the APTET Exam 2023. In case the candidates fail to comply with the APTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria then they will have to face rejection or disqualification.

Paper Educational Qualification
APTET Paper-I (A) Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

OR

Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure), Regulations, 2002

OR

Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

OR

Graduation and two year diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

Post Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed/M.Ed.

Diploma in Multi Rehabilitation Worker (MRW) with 06 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs.

Junior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf.

Primary level Teacher Training course in Visual Impairment.
(Or) Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation – Mental Retardation (DVR-MR) / Diploma in Vocational Training and Employment – Mental Retardation (DVTE-MR) with 06 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs.

Diploma in Hearing Language and Speech (DHLS) with 06 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs.

APTET Paper II-A (Mathematics and Science Teachers / Social Studies Teachers) At least 50% marks either in Graduation (or) in Post Graduation with B.Ed.,

Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor of Education in accordance with the NCTE recognition norms and procedure Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

APTET Exam Age Limit

The CSEAP has not prescribed the maximum age limit for the candidates who wish to apply for the APTET 2023 Exam. However, the candidates must be above 18 years old to attain the minimum eligibility to apply for the APTET 2023 Exam.

APTET 2023 Exam Cut-Off Marks

APTET 2023 Exam Centers

The APTET Exam 2023 will be conducted Online in 13 districts along with centres in Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Chennai. The candidates will be asked to opt for the District of their choice in a separate session. If the capacity of the district is exceeded then the candidates will have to choose another district among the available ones.

If the candidates fail to select an examination centre during the session then the Department will allot one examination centre based on availability. The candidates should opt for their preferred Examination Center on a first-sum-first-served basis.
