CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria

- Candidates having passed a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.

CSIR NET 2024 Exam Pattern
The CSIR NET exam follows a three-part structure with a total of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be attempted in 3 hours. Part A, common across all subjects, tests general aptitude with 20 questions (2 marks each).
Parts B and C are subject-specific, with 40 and 60 questions (2 marks and 4 marks each) respectively. Candidates can attempt a selective number of questions within each part, with negative marking for incorrect answers (typically 25%).
