Recently, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated and addressed One Earth One Health – Advantage Healthcare India – 2023 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi via video conferencing.

During the gathering, the Prime Minister welcomed Health Ministers from around the world, as well as delegates from various regions such as West Asia, SAARC, ASEAN, and Africa.

• Quoting an Indian scripture that translates to “May everyone be happy, healthy, and free from suffering,” the Prime Minister emphasized India’s inclusive vision and noted that even thousands of years ago, the nation’s approach to health was universal.
• He emphasized that the One Earth One Health initiative is aligned with this philosophy and is an example of it in action.
• The Prime Minister stated that India’s vision extends beyond humans to encompass the entire ecosystem, including plants, animals, soil, and rivers, and that when everything in our environment is healthy, we too can be healthy.
• The Prime Minister shed light on India’s tenure as the G20 president, which focused on the theme of “One Earth, One Family, One Future.”
• He recognized the crucial role of robust global healthcare systems in achieving this vision and highlighted the significance of medical value travel and health workforce mobility in promoting a healthy planet.
• The Prime Minister praised “One Earth, One Health – Advantage Healthcare India 2023” as a significant initiative towards this goal.

6^th One Earth One Health Summit 2023 Details

One Earth One Health is a holistic approach that emphasizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. The concept recognizes that human health is interdependent on the health of animals and the environment, and promotes collaboration across sectors and disciplines to achieve global health goals.

• Organizers: In partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has joined forces to co-brand the 6th edition of One Earth One Health, Advantage Healthcare India 2023 with India’s G20 Presidency.
• Venue and Date: The 6^th One Earth One Health 2023 event is scheduled for April 26th and 27th, 2023, and will take place at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
• Participation: One Earth One Health 2023 summit will witness 125 exhibitors and around 500 hosted foreign delegates from 70 countries.

The two-day event is dedicated to highlighting the significance of global partnerships and collaborations in establishing a robust global health infrastructure and achieving Universal Health Coverage through value-based healthcare.

• Its primary objective is to showcase India’s competence in the Medical Value Travel industry as a provider of Value-Based Healthcare services and exporter of Healthcare Workforce, and to exhibit its emergence as a prominent center for world-class healthcare and wellness services.
