The Agriculture Working Group (AWG) is scheduled to hold its G20 Agriculture Ministerial Meeting in Hyderabad. G20 Agriculture Ministerial Meeting is to be held over the course of three days, from 15th to 17th June 2023.

The G20 Agriculture Ministerial Meeting 2023 will gather more than 200 delegates including representatives from G20 member countries, invited nations, and International Organizations.

  • Distinguished Agriculture Ministers from several countries and Director Generals from International Organizations will also be in attendance, making it a significant gathering in the field of agriculture.
  • Two side events, namely “Managing Agribusiness for Profit, People, and Planet” and “Connecting the Digitally Disconnected: Harnessing the Power of Digital Technologies in Agriculture,” are scheduled to take place alongside the Ministerial Meeting.
  • These events will feature the participation of leading Indian agriculture-based companies, start-ups, as well as central and state government agencies involved in the promotion of agribusiness companies.
  • The Agriculture Working Group, under the Indian Presidency, will conclude its discussions and adopt the outcomes.
  • Following this, the delegation will embark on a technical excursion to the ICAR-Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR) located in Hyderabad.
