39th IND-INDO CORPAT Exercise
39th India-Indonesia Coordinated Patrol in News
- The 39th edition of India-Indonesia Coordinated Patrol (IND-INDO CORPAT) between the Indian Navy and the Indonesian Navy is being conducted from 08 – 19 December 2022.
IND-INDO CORPAT Exercise 2022
- About: India and Indonesia have been carrying out India-Indonesia Coordinated Patrol (IND-INDO CORPAT) twice a year since 2002.
- Mandate: IND-INDO CORPAT is conducted with an aim of keeping this vital part of the IOR safe and secure for commercial shipping, international trade and conduct of legitimate maritime activities.
- Venue: The CORPAT will be executed along the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) from 15 to 16 December 2022 and will conclude with a debrief at Port Blair.
- Participation: Indian Naval Ship (INS) Karmuk, an indigenously built Missile Corvette participated in the pre-deployment briefing at Belawan, Indonesia.
- Along with INS Karmuk, L-58 (indigenously built Landing Craft Utility vessel) and Dornier Maritime Patrol Aircraft will be participating in the CORPAT.
- KRI Cut Nyak Dien, a Kapitan Pattimura Class Corvette, would represent the Indonesian side.
Significance of 39th IND-INDO CORPAT
- The 39th edition of IND-INDO CORPAT seeks to bolster the maritime cooperation between the two navies and forge strong bonds of friendship between India and Indonesia.
- CORPATs help build understanding and interoperability between navies, and facilitate institution of measures to prevent and suppress Illegal Unreported Unregulated (IUU) fishing, drug trafficking, maritime terrorism, armed robbery and piracy.
- It further helps enhance the operational synergy by exchange of information for prevention of smuggling, illegal immigration and for conduct of Search and Rescue (SAR) operations at sea.
- As part of Government of India’s vision SAGAR (Security And Growth for All in the Region), Indian Navy has been proactively engaging with countries in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) to enhance maritime security in the region.

- The first G20 Finance and Central Bank Deputies (FCBD) meeting is scheduled to be held during 13-15 December 2022 in Bengaluru.

- About: 1st G20 Finance and Central Bank Deputies (FCBD) meeting 2022 will mark the start of discussions on the Finance Track agenda under the Indian G20 Presidency.
- Host: G20 Finance and Central Bank Deputies (FCBD) Meeting 2022 will be hosted jointly by the Ministry of Finance and the Reserve Bank of India.
- Venue: The First Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting will be held during 23-25 February 2023 in Bengaluru.
- Participation: Approximately 40 meetings of the Finance Track will be held in several locations in India, which include meetings of G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors.
- Mandate: The G20 Finance Track, led by Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of G20 countries, focuses on economic and financial issues.
- It provides an effective forum for global economic discourse and policy coordination.
- Significance: The Indian G20 Presidency’s theme of ‘One Earth One Family, One Future’ will guide the G0 Finance Track discussions.
- The discussions in the G20 Finance Track will ultimately be reflected in the G20 Leaders’ Declaration.

- Recently, 2-day National Health Ministers’ Conclave on Universal Health Coverage Day 2022 concluded in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath and Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya address the plenary session of Health Ministers’ Conclave and award States for Significant Achievement of HWCs Operationalization.
National Health Ministers’ Conclave 2022
- About: National Health Ministers’ Conclave 2022 was held on the occasion of Universal Health Coverage Day, 2022.
- Theme: The theme of the National Health Ministers’ Conclave event was “Build the World We Want: A Healthy Future For All”.
- Key Events: The second day of Health Ministers’ Conclave 2022 had panel discussions on disease elimination and progress on PMJAY with eminent thought leaders.
- The sessions also covered presentations by Community Health Officers on issues, challenges and best practices on clinical and public health functions, managerial functions, community connect & AYUSH integration and IT initiatives.
- Participation: Around 900 Community Health Officers and Medical Officers congregated at the Conclave from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand.

- Recently, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi addressed the valedictory function of the 9th World Ayurveda Congress. He also inaugurated three National Ayush Institutes.

- Participation: The 9th edition of the World Ayurveda Congress (WAC) & Arogya Expo is witnessing the active participation of more than 400 overseas delegates representing-
- Over 50 countries,
- International students and
- Various other stakeholders of Ayurveda.
- Theme: The theme of the 9th edition of WAC is “Ayurveda for One Health”.
- Inauguration of National Ayush Institutes: The three inaugurated National Ayush institutes are-
- All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa,
- National Institute of Unani Medicine (NIUM), Ghaziabad and
- National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH), Delhi.
- Importance of National Ayush Institutes:
- Theses National Ayush Institutes will further strengthen research and international collaborations and will also facilitate affordable Ayush services for people.
- Developed at a total cost of about Rs 970 crores, these institutes will increase the intake of students by around 400 along with the addition of about 500 hospital beds.
