SCO Young Authors’ Conference 2023 held as Part of India’s SCO Chairmanship

SCO Young Authors’ Conference: the Ministry of External Affairs has included the SCO Young Authors’ Conference 2023 in its calendar of events as India is holds chairmanship of SCO grouping. SCO Young Authors’ Conference 2023 is also important for UPSC Prelims Exam 2023 and UPSC Mains Exam (GS Paper 2- International Relations, Various regional grouping having India as its member).

The two-day Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Young Authors’ Conference, focused on “Civilizational Dialogue Among SCO Member States’ concluded recently. The SCO Young Authors’ Conference 2023 saw attendance of representatives from SCO Member Nations.

• During the event, the speakers offered a new perspective on various aspects of the economy, as well as the history of commerce between India and Central Asian countries, by examining the relationship between the film and book industries.

The Valedictory Ceremony of the SCO Young Authors’ Conference was held, with the Minister of State for External Affairs & Education, Shri Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, serving as the Chief Guest.

• Venue and Date: SCO Young Authors’ Conference took place on April 12-13, 2023, at the Leela Palace in New Delhi.
• Mandate: The conference provides a dynamic forum for exploring various opportunities in modern education and training, as well as for broader involvement in entrepreneurship and innovative projects among youth.
• Implementing Agency: the National Book Trust, India acted as the Implementing Agency for SCO Young Authors’ Conference 2023.
