Who was Sarojini Naidu?

Sarojini Naidu is a celebrated author and poet whose contribution to literature is world-renowned. Born on 13th February 1879 in Hyderabad to a Bengali family, grew up to become one of the notable literary figures of her times. She married  Muthyala Govindarajulu Naidu in 1898. She was a political activist, feminist, poet, and the first Indian woman to be president of the Indian National Congress and to be appointed an Indian state governor after India attained independence.
