SSC MTS 2024 Eligibility Criteria

SSC MTS Age Limit

Applicants applying for the SSC MTS Havaldar positions within CBIC and CBN must meet specific age criteria. For the MTS post, candidates should be a minimum of 18 years old but not older than 25 years old. In the case of the Havaldar post, candidates must not exceed 27 years of age. This translates to being born before 02/08/1996 but not later than 01/08/2005. Additionally, candidates from reserved categories are entitled to age relaxation by Government Rules.

SSC MTS Nationality

Candidates eligible to apply for the exam include citizens of India, subjects of Nepal and Bhutan, Tibetan refugees, and Persons of Indian Origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afghanistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam. However, individuals must possess a certificate of eligibility (regarding nationality criteria another Indian citizen) issued by the Government of India to be considered eligible to apply for the exam.

SSC MTS Qualification

To be eligible for the post, candidates must have completed their 10th/Matriculation from a recognized Board or Institute.

SSC MTS 2024 Selection Process

There are two stages in the SSC MTS Selection Process such as a Computer-based Objective Type Paper and and Physical Standard and Efficiency Test.

1. SSC MTS Paper 1: It consists of two sessions and the exam is a computer-based Test. The session 1 and 2 total marks is 120 and 150 respectively and the duration is 90 minutes. This stage is compulsory for all posts.
2. Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test: This is mandatory for the Havaldar post only.
3. Document Verification: The final stage is document verification in which certificates will be verified and a final merit list of selected candidates will be announced.

SSC MTS 2024 Exam Pattern

The SSC MTS 2024 Paper I will be held in 15 distinct languages, excluding the English section. The Computer-Based Examination will be divided into two sessions, namely Session-I and Session-II, both of which are compulsory for all candidates to attempt. Failure to participate in any session will result in disqualification of the candidate. In Session 2, there will be a penalty of 1 mark for each incorrect answer, while no negative marking will be applicable in Session 1.
