BPSC Mineral Development Officer Notification 2020: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released a notification to fill the vacant posts of Mineral Development Officer (MDO) in the Mines and Geology of the Government of Bihar. The total number of vacancies is 20. The registration for BPSC खनिज विकास पदाधिकारियों or MDO begins from May 4th, 2020.

The BPSC issued advertisement notification for the mineral development officer on 22nd April. However, the process of online application for these posts has not been started yet. To apply, candidates must first register. Online registrations can be made from May 4 to May 18, 2020.

The Online registration for BPSC MDO will begin from May 4 to May 18, 2020, while application fees can be paid by May 25. After payment of application fee, candidates will be able to apply till 02 June 2020.

BPSC Mineral Development Officer Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria

The Educational Qualification and Age Limit For BPSC MDO is given below.

Educational Qualification

The candidates must hold at least a second-grade degree from a recognized university or institute in MSc or MTech degree in Geology or Applied Geology or degree in Mining Engineering.

Age Limit

The age limit of the male candidates must be between 21 to 37 years while that of  OBC, Extremely Backward Class, and women of all classes will be 40 years.
Age Relaxation For BPSC MDO are as follows:

• SC and ST class will get 5 years

BPSC Mineral Development Officer 2020 Selection Process

The selection for BPSC MDO will be done on the following basis:

1. Written Test: 300 marks
2. Interview: 50 marks

The candidates will have to clear each stage to be eligible to be appointed as BPSC MDO.

BPSC Mineral Development Officer Exam Pattern

The BPSC MDO written exam will be conducted for 300 marks. There will be a total of 3 papers for the BPSC MDO Exam of 100 marks each.

1. 1. Paper 1- General Knowledge based on BPSC Prelims Syllabus
   2. Paper 2- Mines/Geology
   3. Paper 3- Minerals Mines Act

Points to Note For BPSC MDO Exam: 

1. There will be a choice for the candidates to answer questions between mining engineering and geology.
2. The shortlisted candidates from the written test will be called to appear for the interview. The Interview will be of 50 marks.
3. The final list of the candidates will be prepared on the basis of the marks secured in the written test and the interview.
