On behalf of UGC, the National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian Universities and Colleges.
1.What is UGC-NET Dec 2019?
Ans. UGC-NET is a test being conducted to determine the eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Assistant Professor & Junior Research fellowship both in college and university.
2. When will be the Online Application form for UGC NET Dec 2019 be available on the website?
Ans. The Online Application form for UGC NET DEC 2019  will be available from 9th September 2019 to 9th October, 2019 on the www.ntanet.nic.in website.

3.Whether the examination will be offline or online?
Ans. This will be a computer-based test and will be conducted through online mode only.

4. How long will the result/award of UGC NET Dec 2019 be valid?
Ans. For Junior Research Fellowship: The validity period of the offer is three years w.e.f the date of issue of JRF Award letter. However, in case the candidate who has already joined M.Phil. /Ph.D., the date of commencement of fellowship shall be from the date of declaration of NET result or date of their joining, whichever is later.
5. What is the syllabus for UGC NET Dec 2019?
Ans. Syllabus for all NET subjects can be downloaded from the UGC website.
6. What is the minimum eligibility criteria/qualification for appearing in UGC-NET June 2019?
Ans. Candidates who are pursuing their master’s degree equivalent courses or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying master’s degree (Final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examination have been delayed can appear in the UGC NET DEC 2019 Examination.
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/ institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc.are eligible for this Test. 
For Reserved Category: The Other Backward Classes(OBC) belonging to non creamy layer/Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ persons with disability(PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this test.

7. What is the age limit/relaxation criteria for the candidates appearing in  UGC NET DEC 2019?
Ans.(i) Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 30 year. A relaxation up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC (Noncreamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on the website: www.ncbc.nic.in ) SC/ST/PD/Transgender categories and to women applicants. Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates having research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on the production of a certificate from the appropriate authority.
(ii) Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.
8. What is the application fee?
Ans.General-Rs.800/-
Other Backward Classes (OBC)-(NCL)*: RS.400/-
SC/ST/PwD/ Transgender- Rs.200/-
9. When will be the online registration started?
Ans.Opening date of registration: 9th September, 2019
Last date of registration: 9th October, 2019
10. How to Apply for UGC NET DEC Exam 2019?
Ans. The details regarding the submission of application is available on the NTA website i.e. www.ntanet.nic.in. No other means or mode of application will be accepted.

11. When will be the exam conducted?
Ans.The UGC-NET exam would be held on 2nd to 6th December, 2019
12. What will be the Timing of Examination?
Ans. The examination will be held in two shifts i.e. First Shift: 9.30 am to 12.30 pm Second Shift: 2.30 pm to 05.30 pm

13. What is the exam pattern for UGC NET Exam 2019?
Ans.
Pattern: The Test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be attempted with a break of 30 minutes between them.

Paper I: The questions will be generic in nature, intending to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
Paper-II: This will be based on the subject selected by the candidate. All the questions of Paper-II will be compulsory.
14. Is there a criterion for negative marking?
Ans. There are no negative marks for incorrect responses.
