The launch of the CU-Chayan Portal is a significant step towards simplifying the recruitment process for faculty posts in universities. The platform is aimed to make it easier for candidates to apply for faculty positions, including professor and assistant professor, in Central Universities across India.

What is CU- Chayan Portal

On May 02, 2023, the Chairman of UGC unveiled CU-Chayan, a unified recruitment portal meticulously designed and developed to cater specifically to faculty recruitment in Central Universities. This portal serves as a user-friendly platform that addresses the requirements of all stakeholders involved in the recruitment process. UGC’s primary aim in developing this portal is to establish an enabling environment for both central universities and applicants. With CU-Chayan, central universities retain complete autonomy over every stage of the recruitment process, aligning with their existing practices.

Features of CU-Chayan Portal

The list of vacancies, advertisements, and job openings in all Central Universities will be released on the CU- Chayan Portal. The main objective of the CU- Chayan is to make the recruitment process completely online, from application to screening, with alerts to all users of the portal. Applicants can also search for jobs using various filters, such as University Name, Location, Designation, Category, Subject, Employment Type, Experience, Education Level, etc. Interested candidates can access the portal through the official website – curec.samarth.ac.in.
