KVS Teacher Salary 2024 For PGT, TGT, PRT, Check Revised Pay Scales

KVS Transport Allowance (TA)

The transport allowance is given to cater to the daily travelling needs of the employee. The Employees posted in the cities will get Rs.3600 as TA whereas the Employees posted at all other places will get Rs.1800 as TA.

KVS DA on TA

The Dearness Allowance (DA) on Travel Allowance (TA) has also been updated and will be calculated based on a 50% Dearness Allowance. DA on TA will be applicable in two categories of cities: High TPTA and Other Cities. Employees from High TPTA cities will receive ₹1,800. For positions with a Grade Pay of ₹4,200, ₹4,600, and ₹4,800- such as PRT, TGT, and PGT- the KVS DA on TA will remain unchanged.

How to Calculate DA?

Dearness allowance is calculated based on the All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers Base Year 2001=100. The index has been released by the Labour Bureau every month.
  • 7th CPC DA Percentage = (12 Monthly Average) – 261.42) / 261.42 x 100

KVS Children Education Allowance (CEA)

The Children Education Allowance (CEA) is a financial benefit provided by the Indian government to Central Government employees, which includes KVS teachers. It aims to help them meet the education-related expenses of their children.
