The Eligibility Criteria set by the authority for UPSC CDS 1 Recruitment 2021 are as follows:

Check Age Limit, Sex, and Marital Status For UPSC CDS I Recruitment 2021:

  • Indian Military Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 1998 and not later than 1st January 2003 only are eligible.
  • Indian Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 1998 and not later than 1st January 2003 only are eligible.
  • Officers Training Academy (SSC Course for men): Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 1997 and not later than 1st January 2003 only are eligible.
  • Officers Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course): Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1997 and not later than 1st January 2003.
  • Air Force Academy: 20 to 24 years as of 1st January 2022 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January 1998 and not later than 1st January 2002. (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and 7 current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years. i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January 1996 and not later than 1st January 2002 only are eligible.

Education Qualification

  • For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai- Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
  • For Indian Naval Academy- Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
  • For Air Force Academy- Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Graduates with the first choice as Army/Navy/Air Force are to submit proof of Graduation/provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB Interview at the SSB.

CDS Syllabus 2020: The “Combined Defence Services” (CDS) Examination is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. CDS Syllabus 2020: Marking Scheme

Negative marking is applicable for every wrong marked answer. In CDS paper, each question carries 4 options and out of which only 1 option is correct. For each incorrect answer, 1/3 of the marks will be deducted. More than one option marked is treated as incorrect. However, if a question is left unanswered there will be no negative marking.

SSB Constable Educational Qualifications

  • Constable (Driver) – Must be 10th passed or equivalent from a recognized board and possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License
  • Constable (Lab Assistant) – Must be 10th passed with Science stream. Should have a certificate in Lab Assistant Course
  • Constable (Veterinary) – Must be 10th or Matriculation Exam passed with Science as the main subject from a recognized board or university.
  • Constable (Aya) – Must be 10th passed with Science and possess the first aid exam pass certificate from red cross society or should be trained Dai with 1-year experience in the relevant field

SSB Constable Written Exam Test

The candidates who will qualify the PST will be eligible to appear for the written test. There will be a common entrance test (CET) for all the posts.

  • The written test will be of 100 Marks for a duration of 2 Hours.
