The eligibility Criteria for applying for Tamilnadu SET 2024 Exam have been released by Manonmaniam Sundaranar University on its official website. Tamilnadu SET Education Qualification

Educational Qualification	Master’s degree or equivalent from UGC recognized university/institution
Minimum Marks	General/OBC: 55% marks in Master’s degree , SC/ST/PwD: 50% marks in Master’s degree
Final Year Students	Can apply if awaiting results
Ph.D. Relaxation	For Ph.D. holders who completed Master’s before September 19th, 1991: 5% relaxation in marks
Age Limit	No minimum or maximum age limit

TN SET Eligibility Criteria 2024

Before applying for the TN SET 2024 exam, candidates are required to carefully review the eligibility criteria. Interested candidates must ensure they meet the Tamilnadu SET 2024 Eligibility Criteria outlined below:

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC
Scheduled Caste (SC) / SC(A) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Persons with Disability (PwD) / Third gender category candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in Master’s degree or equivalent examination

2. Provision for Pending Results:

Candidates pursuing their Master’s degree or those who have appeared for their final year examination, with the result awaited, can also apply.
Such candidates will be provisionally admitted but will be eligible for Assistant Professor only after passing their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination with at least 55% marks within two years from the date of TNSET result.

4. Those whose Post Graduation subject is not covered in the list of TNSET subjects may appear in the UGC-NET/joint CSIR-UGC Test.
