The Government Medical Colleges of Nalgonda, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, and Mahabubnagar have issued their notifications on 1 September 2026 and 3 September 2026 respectively. These posts are purely temporary in nature, and the contract period will run up to 31 March 2027 or till the actual need ceases, whichever is earlier. Along with Assistant Professor, these notifications also cover Professor, Associate Professor, Tutor, Civil Assistant Surgeon, Senior Resident, and Junior Resident posts.

GMC Faculty Eligibility Criteria

How to Apply for GMC Faculty Recruitment 2026

The application process is not the same for all three colleges. Nalgonda requires candidates to submit filled offline applications at the college office within a fixed window, while Kumuram Bheem Asifabad and Mahabubnagar require candidates to attend a walk-in interview with the filled application and documents.

• Visit the official website of the concerned GMC and download the application form
• Fill in the form in block letters and paste a recent self-attested photograph
• Attach self-attested copies of SSC certificate, MBBS and MD/MS/DNB degree, study certificates, Aadhar card, and medical council registration
• For Nalgonda, submit the physical application at the Principal’s office between 5 and 10 September 2026, up to 2:00 PM
• For KB Asifabad and Mahabubnagar, carry the filled form along with original certificates and photocopies directly to the walk-in interview venue

GMC Application Fees

Only the Nalgonda notification mentions an application fee, which candidates need to pay through a Demand Draft. Kumuram Bheem Asifabad and Mahabubnagar do not specify any fee in their notifications, so candidates applying to these colleges are not required to pay separately.

The age limit for the Assistant Professor post is largely uniform across the three colleges, with minor differences in the cut-off date used for calculation.

GMC Assistant Professor Selection Process

• A personal interview forms part of the final selection at all three locations
• Rule of reservation is followed as per Telangana Government norms
• Local candidates of the concerned multi-zone get first preference, and candidates from other states are considered only if local candidates are not available
• The decision of the selection committee is treated as final and binding

GMC Assistant Professor Salary

The consolidated monthly remuneration for the Assistant Professor post is the same at all three colleges, since it is fixed as per G.O. Rt. No. 1276, Finance (HRM.VII) Department, dated 16 July 2026.
