GMC Nalgonda Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the post-wise educational qualification, experience and registration requirements before applying for the recruitment.

Associate Professor

• MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject as per NMC TEQ Regulations 2022.
• Five years of post-PG experience, including four years of experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned subject at a recognized or permitted medical college.
• At least two research publications in the prescribed indexed journals.
• Completion of the required basic courses in Medical Education Technology and Biomedical Research.
• MBBS and additional qualifications registered with the Telangana State Medical Council.

Assistant Professor

• MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject as per NMC TEQ Regulations 2022.
• One year of experience as a Senior Resident in the concerned subject after obtaining the MD/MS degree.
• Required registration with the Telangana State Medical Council.

Tutor

• MBBS or an equivalent qualification recognized by the University of Health Sciences.
• Registration with the Telangana Medical Council.

Civil Assistant Surgeon

• MBBS or an equivalent qualification recognized by the University of Health Sciences.
• Registration with the Telangana Medical Council.

GMC Nalgonda Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

The prescribed age limit for the different posts is as follows:

• Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Tutor: Below 69 years as on 31 March 2026.
• Civil Assistant Surgeon: Below 45 years as on 31 March 2026.

Retired teaching faculty of the Government of Telangana or other government bodies are not eligible for contract appointment under this recruitment.

GMC Nalgonda Recruitment 2026 Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹500 for each application submitted.

The application fee must be paid through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Principal, Government Medical College, Nalgonda.

The application fee is non-refundable.

GMC Nalgonda Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process will be based on merit and the criteria prescribed for each post.

• Assessment of marks in the qualifying degree for applicable posts.
• Teaching experience for Associate Professor posts.
• Interview.
• Merit-based selection.
• Original certificate verification.

For Assistant Professor posts, marks obtained in the MD/MS/DNB qualification will be considered. For Tutor and Civil Assistant Surgeon posts, marks obtained in the MBBS qualification will be considered. For Associate Professor posts, teaching experience in the relevant cadre will also be taken into account.
