PSTET 2021 Notification Out: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has released the exam date for the PSTET Exam 2021. The PSTET Exam 2021 will be held on the 24th December 2021. PSTET Online Application form has been start from 25th November 2021 to till 6th December 2021. PSTET or Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test is a state-level examination conducted once a year to determine the eligibility of the candidates for the post of primary and upper primary teachers in government schools in Punjab. The candidates qualifying in the PSTET Exam 2021 will be eligible for applying for various government teaching jobs in schools run by Punjab State Government.

The PSTET exam date 2021 is scheduled for 24th December 2021 by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). However, the official notice with all the details and other relevant information is yet to be released by the PSEB. The candidates interested in teaching jobs in government or private schools can apply for the PSTET exam 2021. The PSTET exam consists of two papers- Paper- I and Paper-II. Paper-I is for the candidates interested in qualifying for the Primary Teaching jobs. Candidates who wish to qualify for the Upper Primary teaching jobs have to apply for Paper-II. The candidates can apply for both papers if they wish to teach both levels.

How To Apply For PSTET 2021?

  • The candidates can visit the official Website at http://www.pseb.ac.in/. or https://pstet.pseb.ac.in/
  • Then go to the homepage and click on the Registration link.
  • Register Yourself and get Registration Number and Password which will be sent your registered E-mail ID and Password.
  • Now re-login your account.
  • Fill in the all the relevant information
  • Then Upload the Photographs and Signatures in the required format.
  • After that, pay the required application fee.
  • At last, take a printout of the application form for further reference.

PSTET 2021 Notification: Eligibility Criteria

The education qualification is one of the most vital PSTET Eligibility Criteria to be able to apply for the exam. The educational qualification required for the PSTET Exam 2021 depends on the post the candidates are applying for. The two levels of posts available under the PSTET exam 2021 are Primary Teacher (Paper-I) and Upper Primary Teacher (Paper-II). Candidates can skim through the following table to read the educational PSTET eligibility criteria for the exam in detail.

Paper Educational Qualification
Paper 1: Class I to V (Primary)
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
  • Candidates who possessed “Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” are now eligible for becoming Teachers for Classes I-V: Primary Stage. Such Candidates has mandatory to undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher.
Paper 2: Class VI to VIII (Upper Primary)
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education).
  • Any candidate having qualified B.Ed Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET exam.

The minimum age limit to apply for the PSTET exam 2021 is 18 years. However, there is no upper age limit for the candidates aspiring to apply for the PSTET 2021 exam.

PSTET 2021 Notification: Exam Pattern

The PSTET Exam pattern 2021 consists of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II. The duration of the PSTET Exam 2021 is 1 and a half hours. There will be 150 questions each carrying 1 mark. There is no negative marking, so the candidates can at least attempt the questions they are not sure about without the fear of losing marks.
