Kerala TET Teacher Salary 2026

Kerala TET Category I is for teaching Lower Primary Classes, Category II is for Upper Primary Classes, Category III is for High School Classes, and Category IV covers teaching languages such as Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Urdu (up to Upper Primary), along with Specialist Teachers (Art & Crafts) and Physical Education Teachers. Kerala TET Salary in Hand

Dearness Allowance (DA)

House Rent Allowance

House Rent Allowance for KTET teachers will be given at 10% of their salary based on their city. Candidates will be provided an amount of Rs. 2350 for Class A cities. The KTET House Rent Allowance will be divided into 4 classes. Candidates will get HR Allowance at the level of city class, which is given below:

1. Class A: The corporation limits of the cities of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kochi, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kannur. In addition, Forest Complex, Mathottam, Kozhikode and government institutions are situated within a radius of 3 kilometres from Civil Station, Kakkanad.
2. Class B: The Municipalities at District Headquarters.
3. Class C: All municipalities other than those at District Headquarters.
4. Class D: All Panchayats

Travelling Allowance

KTET salary includes travelling allowance based on their travel mode and city. Employees will get travel allowance based on their pay scale of class category. Kerala TET teachers will get travelling allowance for lower primary and upper primary: Rs. 500 in Kerala State and Rs. 650 for outside-state job postings.

Spectacle Allowance

KTET Salary also includes Spectacle allowance, i.e., an amount of Rs. 1500 will be given once in five years as reimbursement of the cost incurred for the purchase of spectacles. The employee will get this allowance after completing 5 yrs in the job profile.

Hill Tract Allowance
