According to the latest media reports and statements shared by board officials, preparations for the examination are currently underway, and more than 2 lakh candidates are likely to appear for the teacher eligibility exam this year.

The board is also planning to organize another HTET session in November 2026 to ensure the examination is conducted regularly for teaching aspirants across the state.

HTET 2026 Latest Update

The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH), Bhiwani is likely to conduct the HTET 2026 examination in June 2026 after the completion of Haryana Board exams. According to recent media reports, more than 2.33 lakh candidates have registered for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test this year for PRT, TGT, and PGT levels. Board Chairman Dr. Pawan Kumar stated that preparations for the examination are underway and the official exam schedule may be announced soon. The board is also considering organizing another HTET session in November 2026 to maintain the regular examination cycle.

The report mentions that approximately 2,33,251 candidates have already registered for HTET 2026. Applications have been received for all three levels of the examination.

Second HTET Exam May Be Conducted in November 2026

The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) is also planning to organize another HTET examination in November 2026. According to reports, the board could not conduct the teacher eligibility test earlier through its own arrangements, due to which two sessions may now be held in the same year. Officials believe that conducting an additional HTET exam will help maintain the regular examination cycle and provide another opportunity for teaching aspirants across Haryana.

HTET 2026 Application Status

The application process for HTET 2026 was conducted earlier, between 24 December 2025 and 5 January 2026. During this period, a large number of candidates applied for the exam.

Approximately 2 lakh candidates have submitted their applications. The application process has already been completed successfully, and now the focus has shifted to the exam schedule and admit card release.

There are also chances that the application window may reopen if required, especially considering candidate requests. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding this yet.

The HTET Admit Card 2026 is expected to be released a few days before the examination on the official website of the Board of School Education Haryana.
