DEO Chittoor Teaching Recruitment 2026 Out for 249 Posts

The District Educational Officer (DEO), Chittoor has released a new recruitment notification for 249 Academic Instructor posts for the 2026-27 academic year. The vacancies are for School Assistant (SA) and Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT) posts in schools across Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh.

The application process is offline. Eligible candidates can submit their application at the concerned Mandal Educational Office (MRC). The application process started on August 16, 2026, and the last date to apply is August 21, 2026.

The recruitment is for Academic Instructors in Government, ZPP, MPP, Municipality and Municipal Corporation schools in Chittoor district. The engagement will be temporary for eight months, from 1 September 2026 to 30 April 2027.

DEO Chittoor Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have the required academic and professional qualifications for the post they want to apply for. The application form asks details of SSC, Intermediate, Graduate, Post Graduation and professional qualifications such as D.EI.ED or B.Ed. The qualifications are linked with the latest DSC norms.

TET-qualified  candidates will get preference. Preference is also given to candidates who are natives of the concerned village or Mandal. If a suitable TET-qualified candidate is not available, a candidate with the required academic and professional qualification may be considered.

The selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly honorarium during the temporary engagement period.

• Secondary Grade Teacher – Rs.10,000 per month

The payment will be made directly into the candidate’s bank account through online mode.
