In the TGT exam, each question carries 4 marks (totaling 500 marks), while in the PGT exam, each question is worth 3.4 marks (totaling 425 marks). The UP TGT PGT recruitment process uses a clear and structured marks distribution. For the PGT post, selection is based on a written exam (425 marks, 85%), an interview (50 marks, 10%), and special qualifications (25 marks, 5%), totaling 500 marks. For the TGT post, selection is solely based on the written exam, which carries 500 marks and accounts for 100% of the evaluation, with no interview or qualification-based marks. This transparent system ensures a merit-based selection for both posts.
