UP PGT English Syllabus 2026: Overview

The UP PGT English Syllabus 2026 has been prescribed by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) for the recruitment of PGT teachers. The written examination will be conducted in offline mode and will consist of objective-type questions. Candidates should prepare according to the official syllabus to improve their chances of qualifying for the next stage of the selection process.

UP PGT English Exam Pattern 2026

The UP PGT Exam 2026 is also conducted in offline (OMR-based) mode with 120 multiple-choice questions. Out of these, 90 questions are from the concerned subject, and 30 questions are from general studies. Each question carries 3 marks, making the written examination worth 360 marks. Negative marking is applicable in the exam. Unlike the TGT recruitment process, UP PGT selection also includes a 40-mark interview, and the final merit is prepared based on the written examination and interview performance.
