REET Eligibility Criteria 2022, Qualification & Age Limits

REET Eligibility Criteria 2022: REET Eligibility Criteria 2022 has been released by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education. The Board has released the REET Notification 2022 on 11th April 2022 on their official website. The REET Application Process 2022 will begin on 18th April 2022 and conclude on 23rd May 2022. As per recent development by the government, the male candidate from the EWS category will get 5 yr of age relaxation and the female candidate from the EWS category will get 10 yr age relaxation for applying to REET 2022.

As REET will be conducted for filling 62000 Grade III Teacher posts, The REET Exam will be held on 23rd and 24th  July 2022. To know about the detailed REET eligibility criteria for 2022, we are sharing the Detailed REET Eligibility Criteria as per the latest notification.

REET Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: (Primary Stage):

Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Graduation with B.Ed passed from recognized university (Revised Eligibility Criteria)

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with Diploma in Elementary Education from NIOS(Revised Eligibility Criteria)

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Graduation or post-graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year in B.A. /B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.

Graduation or Post Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Note:- Amendment by NCTE Notification No.F.No. NCTE-Reg/012/22/2019-US(Regulation)-HQ. Dated 13th November 2019 “At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and B.Ed.” the following Proviso inserted-“Provided that minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not be applicable to those incumbents who had already taken admission to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or an equivalent course prior to the 29th July 2011.”

REET Eligibility Criteria 2022 & Age Limit

The candidate is eligible for filling the application during his minimum age is 18 years with age relaxation for the candidates from the reserved category.

REET 2022 Qualifying Marks

A person who scores 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered a TET pass. Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled.

In the REET Teaching Recruitment Examination, the weightage of the marks obtained in the REET exam has been increased. Previously, the weightage of the REET marks is only 70% and 30% is for the academic weightage of the candidates. Now it is converted into 90: 10.

REET Eligibility Criteria 2022 Certificate Validity

The validity of REET 2022 has been extended to a lifetime. Now, candidates who have cleared the REET exam will be eligible for the next levels selection on the basis of their score obtained in the REET Exam for life. Earlier the REET Certificate was valid for only 3 years.
