PSTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates are required to go through the PSTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria to ensure they are eligible for the PSTET 2023 Paper I and Paper II.

PSTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria Paper I

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- a year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- a year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- a year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
  • Candidates who possessed “Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” are now eligible for becoming Teachers for Classes I-V: Primary Stage. Such Candidates has mandatory to undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher.

PSTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria Paper II

  • Graduation and passing or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education).
  • Any candidate having a qualified B.Ed Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in the TET exam.
