OTET Notification 2022: The OTET Notification 2022 has been released by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSEO) on their official website. The OTET Application Window 2022 will remain from 10th October to 19th October 2022. The candidates must submit their complete and correct  OTET Application Form 2022 by the last submission date or else their application won’t be accepted by the Board. OTET Notification 2022 Overview

The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) will be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. The candidates will have to submit their OTET Application Form 2022 online mode, however, the OTET Exam 2022 will be conducted in offline mode.

OTET Notification 2022 Application Guidelines

The candidates interested in filling and submitting the OTET application form 2022 should go through the following step-by-step instructions to be able to complete the application process hassle-free.

  • Visit the application website for Odisha TET (OTET) 2022 i.e @bseodisha.ac.in
  • Click on New Registration to register for the first time.
  • Enter the all required details in the registration form and click on submit to generate the registration number and password.
  • Login to the website by using the registered email and password. Once successfully logged in, fill in your details
  • The next step is to pay the application fee as per your category
  • Click on final submission to submit the OTET Application Form 2022.
  • Get the printout of the application form for future reference.

OTET Notification 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must check out the OTET Eligibility Criteria 2022 in detail to ensure they are eligible for the OTET Exam 2022.

OTET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 1

Candidates fulfilling any one of the below-mentioned parameters meet OTET 2022 eligibility criteria for Category-A (Paper 1):

  • Candidates should clear Class XII with at least 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should possess a two-year diploma in Elementary Education (CT or DElEd).
  • Candidates should clear Class XII with at least 45 per cent (40 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should possess a two-year diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.
  • Candidates should clear Class XII with at least 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should possess a four-year diploma in BElEd.
  • Candidates should clear Class XII with at least 50 percent (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should possess a two-year diploma in Special Education.
  • Candidates should clear graduation in any stream. Also, candidates should possess a two-year diploma in Elementary Education/ Special Education.
  1. General Eligibility: He or she must be a citizen of India.
  2. Ability to Read and Write Odia: The candidate must be able to read and write in Odia. Any one of the following qualifications will be taken into consideration to ascertain this ability of the candidate

OTET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 2

  • Candidates fulfilling either of the below-mentioned parameters meet OTET 2022 eligibility criteria for Category-B (Paper 2):
  • Candidates should clear graduation with at least 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) marks. Also, candidates should pass a one-year course in Bachelor in Education (BEd).
  • Candidates should clear graduation with at least 45 per cent (40 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) marks. Also, candidates should pass one-year BEd course in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
  • Candidates should clear graduation with at least 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) marks. Also, candidates should pass a one-year course in BEd (Special Education).
  • Candidates should clear Class XII with at least 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should pass a four-year BA Ed/ BSc Ed course.
Category Qualification
TGT (Science – PCM/ CBZ) Bachelor’s degree in science with any two of the subjects (PCM) or (CBZ) as honours/optional/Elective/Pass with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university and Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed) from an institute recognized by NCTE.

Or,

Four years’ integrated degree in B.Sc.B.Ed from a recognised institute in PCM in CBZ as honours/optional/Elective/Pass with a minimum of 50% marks

Revised Subject Criteria :

  • TGT PCM – Physics, Chemistry, Maths
  • TGT CBZ – Chemistry Botany Zoology, Biology
TGT Arts Four years’ integrated B.A.B.Ed from an institute recognized by NCTE in any two ( English, Odia, Hindi & Sanskrit , History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Indian Economy, Landmarks in Indian History, Indian Geography & Indian Polity) as optional/honours/elective/pass with a minimum of 50% marks.

Or,

Bachelor’s degree in arts/commerce in any two of the subjects ( English, Odia, Hindi & Sanskrit and History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Indian Economy, Landmarks in Indian History, Indian Geography & Indian Polity).

Hindi Teacher Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 50% marks in one of the following subjects:

a) Rastrabhasa Ratna from Rastrabhasa Prachar Samiti, Wardha

b) Shastri Hindi from Odisha Rastrabhasa Parisad, Puri

c) Snataka, from Hindi Shiksya Samiti, Odisha, Cuttack

Classical Teacher – Urdu B.A in the Persian language with an aggregate of 50% marks and B.Ed from a recognised institute/university Or, Alim with the aggregate of 50% marks
Classical Teacher – Telugu Bachelor’s degree in arts with Telugu with 50% marks in aggregate alongside B.Ed.
Classical Teacher – Sanskrit Bachelor’s degree in/with Sanskrit as an optional/honours/elective/pass subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate alongside Siksha Shastri (Sanskrit) degree from a recognized institute.
Physical Education Candidates must have passed class 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized institute with an aggregate of 50% marks and B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed/C.P.Ed from a recognized board or university

OTET Notification 2022 Cut-Off Marks
