GSET Exam Subject List With Code and Medium of Questions

The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda released the official notification for Gujarat State Eligibility Test admit card 2024 on 21st November 2024. The exam is scheduled to be held on 1st December 2024. The examination scheme consists of 2 papers: Paper I which assesses candidates’ general aptitude and Paper II which assesses candidates’ subject-specific knowledge. Candidates have to choose from a GSET Exam Subject List of 33 subjects for Paper II, in their relevant discipline.

GSET Exam Subject List

The exam will be conducted in 2 papers. Paper I consists of 50 questions, each with a 2-mark weightage and Paper II, the subject-specific one, consists of 100 questions, each with a 2-mark weightage. Candidates applying must know that they have to choose a subject for Paper II. This would be the subject that they have been pursuing in their previous studies and carry an experience within. The GSET Exam Subject List is divided in 33 subjects with Gujarati and English as mediums of questions.

GSET Exam Paper I Subjects

As the exam is conducted within 2 Papers. Let’s first discuss the subject blueprint of Paper I which generally assesses candidates’ general aptitude and is the same for all the candidates and is compulsory for all to appear for Paper II. The GSET Exam Subject List around which Paper I is structured is as follows: Reasoning Ability, Comprehension, Divergent Thinking and General Awareness. Candidates need to compulsorily prepare themselves for these topics, as Paper I attains 33% weightage of the exam. Although is qualifying in nature, candidates need to prepare themselves for Paper I equally well.
