Qatar was the host country for the FIFA 2022 World Cup. The 22nd Edition of the FIFA World Cup was hosted in 8 venues where 64 matches were played by all the 32 participating teams. The Opening Match of the FIFA World Cup was played between Ecuador and Qatar at Al Bayt Stadium. The Final Match of FIFA World Cup 2023 was played between France and Argentina at Lusail Stadium.

FIFA World Cup 2022 was held in Qatar from 20th November 2022 to 18th December 2022. This was the first time when FIFA World Cup was organised in Arab World or any Muslim Country. In fact, it was the 2nd time when FIFA World Cup was held in Asia. Earlier, South Korea and Japan jointly hosted the FIFA World Cup in 2002.

The FIFA World Cup Finale was played between France and Argentina. The High Ooctane match was played on 18th December 2022 where Argentina emerged as the FIFA World Cup Winner. The final score of the FIFA World Cup final match was 4-2 on penalties following a 3-3 draw even after the extra time. This was the third FIFA World Cup win for Argentina after 1978 and 1986.
