Tamil Nadu TET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

  • Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of the 4-year B.El.Ed.
  • Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Graduated and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Note: A 5% relaxation in qualifying marks is given to SC, SC(A), ST, BC, BC(M), MBC/DNC, and PwD candidates.

(II). Minimum Qualifications for TNTET Paper-II (for classes VI-VIII).
  • Candidates applying for TNTET Paper II must have a Graduation with professional teacher training or integrated teaching degrees. Special provisions exist for candidates with B.E. + B.Ed. for certain subjects.
  • Graduated and passed/appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of B.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of B.Ed. (as per NCTE norms).
  • Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.El.Ed. or B.A/B.Sc. Ed.
