RGSSH Vacancy

RGSSH has announced 45 vacancies in total. Most of them are for Assistant Professors, and Critical Care has the highest number of seats. The seats are spread across many super-specialty departments. Reservation has also been applied post-wise as per government rules.

RGSSH Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility depends on the post and on whether the department is a general discipline or a super-specialty. Candidates need a recognised medical degree, a postgraduate or super-specialty qualification, and teaching or research experience. Educational qualification, experience and age are counted up to the last date of the application form. Read the details below for your post.

• DNB qualification will be considered as per NMC guidelines.
• DNB candidates applying for faculty posts must attach the equivalency certificate issued by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
• Only Indian citizens can apply. A valid Indian Passport or Voter ID is accepted as proof of citizenship.
• Candidates must not have been convicted by any court of law.

The application form is available online as a Google Form. The same link is also given on the hospital website, and the notice carries a QR code for the form. Candidates should fill it before the last date. Without a filled form, no candidate will be allowed to sit in the interview.

How to Apply for RGSSH Recruitment 2026

The whole process has two parts: filling the online form and then attending the interview with documents. Candidates should keep their certificates ready before they start the form. Incomplete forms and missing documents can lead to rejection without any further communication. Follow the steps below.

• Visit the official website rgssh.delhi.gov.in and open the Career & Opportunities section.
• Open the Recruitment Notice for Advertisement No. 10 and read it fully.
• Click the Google Form link given in the notice or scan the QR code.
• Fill in your personal, educational and experience details correctly.
• Submit the form on or before 22 October 2026 before midnight.
• Take a print-out of the submitted form.

RGSSH Faculty Age Limit and Relaxation

Age limits differ by post, and retired government doctors can also apply for re-employment. The age is counted up to the last date of the application form, which is 22 October 2026. Relaxation is given as per the rules of the Government of India, DoPT and Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

RGSSH Faculty Selection Process

The hospital selects candidates only through an interview. It does not hold any written test for these posts. A merit list and a wait list will be prepared after the interviews. The final decision rests with the Chairman of the Governing Council, RGSSH.

• Interview: Candidates are shortlisted and called on the tentative dates of 28 and 29 October 2026. The detailed schedule will be shared on the hospital website.
• Interview Marking: Educational qualification, experience, additional qualification, research, awards and paper presentations are also taken into account.
• Merit List: The list of selected and wait-listed candidates will be published on rgssh.delhi.gov.in and health.delhi.gov.in. No other mode of communication will be used.
• Document Verification: Candidates must show original documents with one set of photocopies at the time of the interview.
• Registration: Selected candidates must be registered with the Delhi Medical Council or a State Medical Council.
• The registration must mention the essential qualification for the post.
• Medical Fitness and Police Verification: Selected candidates must be medically fit. They must submit a police verification copy within one month of joining.
• Adhoc Filling: If a reserved seat remains vacant, an unreserved candidate may fill it on an adhoc basis for three months or until the next regular recruitment, whichever is earlier.

RGSSH Salary

RGSSH pays a fixed consolidated salary to all faculty members each month. No other allowances or perquisites are given on top of it. The posts are full-time, and private practice of any kind is strictly prohibited. The pay for each post is given below.
