• Graduation with at least 50 percent marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), subject to completion of a mandatory six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education within two years of appointment

• Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
• Graduation with at least 50 percent marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
