How to Apply for NCET Application Form 2024?

The National Common Entrance Test (NCET) is a prestigious examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India. Candidates who are planning to apply for NCET 2024, it is important to familiarize yourself with the application process.

Registration Process:

Step 1: Registering and Creating Login Credentials

To initiate the application process, candidates must complete the Registration Form. Here’s how:

  • Online Application Form: Fill out the required details accurately and create a secure PASSWORD. Additionally, select a Security Question and provide an Answer for future reference.
  • Application Number Generation: Upon successful submission, a system-generated Application Number will be assigned. This number will serve as your unique identifier for all subsequent steps and future correspondence.
  • Logging In: For subsequent logins, access the system using the Application Number and the Password created during registration.

Step 2: Completing the Application Form

Once registered, proceed to complete the Application Form by following these steps:

  • Logging In: Utilize the system-generated Application Number and pre-created Password to access the Application Form.
  • Providing Personal and Educational Details: Fill in personal information, educational qualifications, and select preferred examination cities.
  • Uploading Documents: Upload scanned images of your Photograph, Signature, and PwBD Certificate (if applicable), ensuring adherence to specified guidelines:
    • Photograph: Clear, recent image with 80% face visibility against a white background, in JPG/JPEG format, sized between 10 kb to 200 kb.
    • Signature: Legible scan in JPG/JPEG format, with a size ranging from 4 kb to 30 kb.
    • PwBD Certificate: If applicable, upload a PDF scan sized between 50 kb to 300 kb.

Step 3: Payment of Examination Fee

After completing the initial steps, proceed to pay the examination fee using the following methods:

  • Online Payment: The examination fee can be paid online via Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.
  • Processing Charges: Note that processing charges and applicable GST are to be borne by the candidate in addition to the examination fee.
  • Confirmation Page: Upon successful payment, a Confirmation Page of the Application Form will be generated. In case of any issues, candidates can reach out to the designated helpline for assistance.
  • Download and Print: Save and print a copy of the Confirmation Page for future reference.

NCET Eligibility Criteria 2024

For appearing in the NCET 2024, candidates who have successfully passed the final examination of the 10+2 system from a recognized Central/State Board are eligible to apply. The detailed following qualifications has been mentioned below:

  • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination: Candidates who have completed the two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/University are eligible.
  • Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy: Candidates who have completed the final examination of the two-year course at the National Defence Academy are eligible.
  • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS): Candidates who have passed the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by NIOS with a minimum of five subjects are eligible.
  • Any Public School/Board/University examination in India or any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU): Candidates who have passed any public school, board, or university examination in India or any foreign country that is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the AIU are eligible.
  • Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination: Candidates who have completed the Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination are eligible.
  • Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a board not specified above: Such candidates need to obtain a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) stating that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination.
