Let the required number = x 
ATQ,
x – 49 = 95 – x 
2x = 144 
x = 72

Sol.
We have, F = A + S = 1/5+1/10+1/4=11/20  
Remaining Rs. in his wallet = 9/20=1800
1 = 4000
A + S = 1/10+1/4=4000×7/20= Rs. 1400
S3. Ans.(a)
Sol.
We have, z² + 2 = 2z
z² – 2z = – 2
∴ (2–2z + z²) (2 + 2z – z²) = 
(2–2) (2 + 2z – z²) = 0

Point of intersection of perpendicular bisectors of a triangle is known as circumcenter.

Sol.
We have, (side )/√3=12 ⇒ Side = 12√3
Height of an equilateral triangle = √3/2× side = √3/2×12√3 = 18 cm    
S7. Ans.(a)
Sol.
We have, P = 350 & Q = 600 
Req. percentage = (600-350)/600=250/600×100
= 41.66%

Sol.
Let the numbers are 5x & 4x.
ATQ,   
5x + 4x = 180
9x = 180
x = 20
Smaller number = 4x = 4 × 20 = 80 
S9. Ans.(c)
Sol.
Profit Ratio = Investment × time
Profit Ratio = 35000 × 2 : 21000 × 1 
= 10: 3
We have 13 unit = 26000
P’s share = 10 unit = 26000/13×10 = 20,000 Rs.

We have, 31x + 31y = 403 
⇒ x + y = 13 
Avg of x & y = (x+y)/2 = 13/2 = 6.5.
