KARTET Exam Date 2025
The KARTET 2025 examination is scheduled to take place on December 7, 2025 (Sunday). The exam will be conducted in two sessions i.e. Paper 1 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and Paper 2 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. KARTET Eligibility Criteria 2025
The KARTET Eligibility Criteria 2025 outlines the educational qualifications and minimum marks required for candidates aspiring to become teachers in Karnataka’s primary and upper primary schools. It ensures that only qualified individuals are eligible to appear for Paper I or Paper II. Reserved category candidates also receive a relaxation in marks as per government norms.
For Paper I (Teaching Classes 1-5):
- Passed PUC or an equivalent exam with at least 50% marks and completed or currently pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Secured 50% marks in PUC or equivalent and completed or pursuing a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Obtained 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or equivalent) along with a 2-year Diploma in Special Education.
- Graduates with a minimum of 50% marks who have completed or are pursuing D.El.Ed or B.Ed are also eligible.
For Paper II (Teaching Classes 6-8):
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and a D.El.Ed or B.Ed qualification.
- Have Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed degree.
- Possess a graduation degree with 50% marks and a B.Ed in Special Education.
A 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks is granted to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
