What is KARTET?
Karnataka TET is a teacher eligibility test which is conducted by the Education Department of Karnataka. Karnataka TET is a state-level exam like other states. Candidates who clear the Karnataka TET 2022 exam are eligible to apply as teachers in government schools of Karnataka. The candidates will be awarded the Karnataka TET Certificate after qualifying for the exam.
Karnataka TET 2022 Notification
The Department of School Education of Karnataka is the conducting body for Karnataka TET (KAR TET) exam. Karnataka TET or KARTET is the state-level test for testing the eligibility of the candidates who are willing to get into the teaching profession for the primary and upper primary levels at Karnataka schools. Karnataka TET is conducted in two phases: one for primary classes (class I to V) and second for upper primary classes (class VI to VIII). - Then login with the system-generated login and password.
- Fill the all the required Credentials and upload images & signatures.

Karnataka TET 2022: Eligibility Criteria
- (Paper-I) : Required minimum qualification (for teaching class 1 to 5)
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year or 4th year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
- (Paper-II) : Required minimum qualification (for teaching class 6 to 8)

Karnataka TET 2022: Exam Pattern
There will be two papers on KARTET.
- Paper -I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
- Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII
- Total Marks: 150 (For Each Paper)
- Total Question:150 (For Each Paper)
- Total Time: 2 hr 30 min(For Each Paper)
- Negative Marking: No
- Medium of question paper: English, Kannada, Urdu, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi.
Note: A person who intends to teach for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II).
- The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on the educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners, and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
- The Test items in Language I will focus on the proficiency of the language related to the medium of instruction.
- The Test items in language II will focus on the elements of language, communication, and comprehension abilities.
- Visually impaired candidates should answer social studies question papers instead of mathematics and EVS.

Aspirants can expect KARTET admit card at least 5 days prior to the exam. Candidates can download Karnataka TET Hall Ticket on the official website. The qualified candidates are issued a qualifying certificate that will be eligible for the post of teachers at various government schools of Karnataka state. Karnataka TET 2022 Result
The education board will be publishing the result for Karnataka TET 2022 with the names of the candidates who have scored more than the qualifying marks and have clear the test. The selected candidates will be provided with the certification for their eligibility to apply for primary and upper primary teachers in the government or government-aided schools of Karnataka state.
Karnataka TET- Cut Off Marks
The candidates belonging to General /2A/2B/3A/3B should secure a minimum of 60% to be eligible. The candidates belonging to SC / ST / C-I, differently-abled persons should secure a minimum of 55% to be eligible.
Karnataka TET Certificate
The candidates who appear for Karnataka TET and obtain the minimum qualifying marks as prescribed in the notification will be issued an Electronic Marks Statement. The Centralized Admission Cell will not issue any printed hard copy of the marks sheet. Candidates should enter their Register number and date of birth as given in their online application to download the Electronic Marks Card.
Validity Of Karnataka TET
The Validity of the KARTET qualifying certificate will be for seven years from the date of declaration of its results.
