This is the second revision to the exam calendar. The commission had earlier revised the schedule on 27 April 2026, shifting the exam from 5-7 May to 20-23 May 2026. The fresh postponement, effective 18 May 2026, just two days before the exam was to begin, has come as a significant development for the nearly 3,451 Special Teacher vacancies being filled through this recruitment drive.

The goal of the JSSC Special Educator Syllabus 2025-26 is to assess the candidate’s general awareness, reasoning ability, aptitude for teaching, child psychology, and special education. With the help of this syllabus, it will be ensured that those selected are not only knowledgeable on the subject but are also professionally able to teach children with special needs at the levels of primary 1-,5 as well as upper primary classes 6-8.
