Haryana Govt. to fill 11000 TGT, PGT vacancies: Announces CM Khattar

Haryana CM, Manohar Lal Khattar has going to recruit 11000+ teaching vacancies for the post of TGT and PGT in government schools of Haryana. During CM press conference, Cm mentioned that transfers list will be prepared soon and henceforth the exact counting of the vacant post will be declared. As of now, there are approximately 6000 vacancies for TGT posts and 5000 vacancies for PGT Posts are vacant in government schools.

Haryana CM, Manohar Lal Khattar clarified that the recruitment process for PGT posts exam will be conducted by the HPSC and and TGT recruitment process will be done by the HSSC. Till recruitment process starts , vacant posts are going to fill through Kaushal Rozgar Nigam. As the recruitment process for the TGT post requires only a written test, Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC). As PGT Recruitment Process includes a written test and an interview, it will be done by Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC).

Haryana Teacher transfer drive was stalled due to the Covid-19 outbreak. During this time, many teachers have tired from the service or have been promoted.  School Education of Haryana has started transfer drive has begun again. Once the online transfer drive is complete or even before that, the exact number of TGT and PGT vacancies will be determined. After the transfer process evaluation , the number of vacancies might increase to 12000 for TGT PGT Posts. CM claimed that 90% of the employees have embraced the online transfer drive with content. PRT post will be also going to recruit soon in new recruitment process.

Moreover, a drop in the number of students was witnessed during the pandemic which has now increased in number. Thus, the recruitment process has become inevitable to maintain the 30:1 student-teacher ratio in the schools under Haryana Government. CM announced that in the past 8 years, 8600 PGTs and TGTs have been recruited since their government is formed in Haryana.
