☛What is the educational qualification required for Assistant Primary & Nurersy Teacher post in DSSSB Recruitment process?
For Assistant Primary:
(i) Senior Secondary (10+2) or Intermediate or its equivalent from a recognized board / institution.
(ii) Two year’s Diploma / Certificate Course / in Elementary Teacher Education Course/ Junior Basic Training or equivalent or bachelor of elementary education from a recognized institution.
(iii) Candidates must have qualified CTET.
(iv) Must have passed Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi or English as a subject at Secondary Level
For Assistant Teacher Nursery :
(i) Senior Secondary School (Class Twelve) certificate or Intermediate or its equivalent with atleast 45% marks from a recognized Board/university.
(ii) Diploma/Certificate in Nursery Teacher Education programme for a duration of not less than two years or B.Ed. (Nursery) from a recognized institute.
(iii) Must have passed Hindi at Secondary Level
☛What are the Age Limit for DSSSB Teacher:
Maximum Age Limit for Assistant Primary & Assistant Nursery Teacher: 30 years
Note: Guest/Contract teachers (only those who have not availed age relaxation in previous recruitments):- The contractual employees working against teaching posts will be eligible for one time relaxation in upper age limit up to maximum period of five years. The quantum of age relaxation will be subject to number of years spent in the department on contract basis provided, they have worked for at least 120 days in a particular academic year.

☛When will be the exam conducted?

☛What is the mode of selection?
The selection shall be made through One Tier examination scheme & it’s a Computer Based Test.
☛What is the application Fee?
Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/-
Note: Women candidates and candidates belonging to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, Physically Handicapped & Ex-serviceman category are exempted from paying the Application fee.
☛ Is the exam Bilingual?
The Examination questions will be bilingual (Hindi & English) except for the Language papers which would be in the language concerned only.
☛Is there a criterion for negative marking?
There is negative marking of 0.25 mark for every wrong answer.
☛ What is the Final Selection / Merit :
The Board will shortlist the candidates for written examination on the basis of marks in qualifying exam (as per essential qualification given in RRs) in case there are a large number of candidates.
