- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / B.El.Ed. / Diploma in Special Education, OR
- Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

- Must have studied Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi/English at the Secondary level

- Two-year Diploma in Primary Education / ETE / JBT / DIET / B.El.Ed.
- Must have passed Hindi in Class 10
