CTET Validity- CTET Valid In All-State 2023
Is CTET Certificate Valid in all states? This is a big question for those candidates who are preparing for all teaching exams. CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) exam which is held to select the candidates based on their conceptual understanding rather than factual knowledge. CTET is also known as the common teacher’s eligibility test. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted twice every year for aspiring candidates willing to get a job in the educational sector.
The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the CTET examination is 10+2 with a professional degree, where the candidate must have a minimum of 50% score from a recognized university. As per the age criteria, there is no age limit in the official notification of CTET. However, the candidates can attempt the examination many times to have a better score, which can be used in future aspects.
Is CTET Certificate Valid in all States?
Yes, the CTET certificate is valid for all the states (except Haryana), and the candidates may get a chance to secure a seat as Teachers in any of the Government schools. The candidates can apply to the State Government as well as Private schools as per the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The CTET certificate was earlier valid for only 7 years from the declaration date of the result, but as per the new rules, the certificate will now have lifetime validity.
CTET Certificate Validity Period?
The CTET exam is held to select the candidates based on their conceptual understanding rather than factual knowledge. The exam for CTET is held in two stages, paper 1 for those who want to be placed in the primary schools from classes 1-5 and paper 2 for the candidates willing to secure a seat in the secondary schools from classes 6-8. They are liable to apply for the teacher’s post in State Government schools and are highly demanded by the private schools as well.
What happens after Clearing CTET?
CTET certificate holders are also eligible to teach in Government schools under State Government (except in Haryana). Although most states conduct their own State TET, the CTET certificate is also valid in many State schools as well. The candidates selected as Primary Teachers have a great chance to be promoted to the Upper Primary post as per their qualifications whereas the Upper Primary School teachers can be promoted to the Principal post in Higher Secondary Schools. Recently, the Delhi government has decided to adopt CTET as the basic eligibility criteria for teacher recruitment and will recruit only certified teachers as per the requirements of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009.
