CSIR NET Answer Key 2026 Out

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Provisional Answer Key for Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 along with the question papers and recorded responses. The exam was conducted on 17 and 18 July 2026 in CBT mode across 224 cities and 352 centres for 1,87,739 registered candidates. Candidates who are not satisfied with the provisional answer key can raise objections through the official NTA website by paying a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question. The answer key challenge window is open from 16 August to 18 August 2026 up to 11:00 PM, with the last date for fee payment also being 18 August 2026.

Download the CSIR NET login details and be ready before they start, as the key is available only after signing in to the portal. Below are the steps to download the subject-wise answer key PDF.

• Click on the notification link for “CSIR NET Answer Key 2026.”
• Enter your application number, date of birth, or password
• Submit the security pin shown on the screen

CSIR NET 2026 Answer Key Objection Process

Candidates who want to challenge any answer must follow the correct steps so that their objection is accepted by NTA. Objections sent through email, post, or fax are not accepted by the authority. Only online submissions through the official portal are considered valid.

• Visit csirnet.nta.ac.in and click on “Challenge Answer Key.”
• Log in with application number and date of birth or with a password
• Click on “View Question Paper” or “Challenge Answer Key” to see your responses
• Note the Question ID and Correct Option ID shown on screen

• Upload your supporting proof as a single PDF file

Evaluation Process after Accepting an Objection

Once objections are submitted for CSIR NET, a panel of subject experts reviews each challenge carefully. The fee paid is not refunded even if the objection is accepted. Based on the expert review, NTA prepares the final answer key, which cannot be challenged again.

How to Calculate Scores Using the CSIR NET Answer Key June 2026?

Candidates can use the answer key to get an idea of their probable score before the official result comes out. The marking pattern is simple to follow and has negative marking. Below is the CSIR NET marking scheme used by NTA.

• Section A (General Aptitude): 0.5 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Section B (Subject-Specific Conceptual): 0.5 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Section C (Analytical and Application-Based): 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
